Research Interests

My main period of focus is Daoism during the Six Dynasties and Tang.
I'm also interested in collective memory and theories of religion -
specifically, the categories we in the West use to study religion,
their history, and their applicability to non-Western paradigms. Major
theoretical influences include Lakoff & Johnson, Michel Foucault,
Geoffrey Cubbit, and Robert Ford Campany.
