Retired 4-star Admiral and NATO Supreme Allied Commander James Stavridis will talk about his use of literature to help him navigate key global security challenges and leadership opportunities during his more than three decades as a senior military leader. Someone who believes deeply in the building of intellectual capital to solve disputes and effectively lead large organizations, Admiral Stavridis will talk about specific books—both fiction and non-fiction—and their impact on his development as a leader. He will also draw on his more recent experiences as the Dean of the prestigious Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, his post since retiring from the Navy in 2013.
